Be ready for anything! Improvisational Theatre offers a playful and enjoyable opportunity to explore creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Through fun exercises and games, students will learn to think on their feet, develop unique characters and stories, and enhance their communication and problem-solving abilities in a supportive and inclusive environment. SCHEDULE Improvisational Theatre Club takes place on Wednesdays while school is in session. Students that do not attend after-school participate from dismissal to 3:10PM. Students that attend after-school participate from 3:15PM - 4:00PM. Kindergarten through Second Grade will participate in the first round from March 13 - April 17 Third through Fifth Grade will participate in the second round from May 1 - June 5 SESSIONS Sessions are 45 minutes long for 6 weeks |

Learn to dance! Street Dance and Hip Hop provides a fun and energetic environment to learn popular dance styles such as popping, locking, and breaking. Students will improve their coordination, motor skills, and body awareness while developing their creativity and musicality through freestyle and choreographed routines. The course fosters teamwork and community, allowing students to gain confidence and develop a positive self-image. Chess Club is designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy challenging their peers, while experiencing healthy competition and team spirit. Chess is used to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making. Our main focus will be to encourage learning, sportsmanship, and fun. There will be two offerings based on chess proficiency. These clubs are offered to 2nd through 5th grade students SCHEDULE Chess Clubs take place from dismissal to 3:30PM Tuesdays are open chess for students that already know how to play Wednesdays are for chess instruction for students that are learning to play SESSIONS Sessions are 1 hour long for 8 weeks |

We are delighted at this new parent-led offering, which will be taught by TBBS parent Jessica Pérez. In this Imaginative yoga class, students will be introduced to the basic principles of meditation, breath and asanas (yoga poses). SCHEDULE AND SESSIONS Yoga will be held from dismissal (2:20pm)-3:15pm on Fridays starting May 3rd. The first cohort for Pre-K and K will be Friday May 3-May 17th (3 weeks). The second cohort for 1st and 2nd grade will be Friday May 24th-Friday June 21st (4 weeks, skipping June 7th). GOALS

DESCRIPTION
We are delighted to offer this new club, led by TBBS parent and professional designer Phaedra Paulson. Students will learn to make small stuffed pillows, from fabric scraps saved from the production of a local NY designer, Beriqisu. Pillows can be made in a variety of shapes; a tree, a crescent moon, and a mountain range. Students can choose their fabrics to design their pillows, they will cut out pattern pieces and hand sew their pillows together, then fill and finish them. There will be various things for the students to embellish and decorate their pillows, with contrast fabrics, contrast (solid) felt pieces, buttons, and contrast thread colors. SCHEDULE AND SESSIONS Sewing Club will be held from dismissal (2:20pm) -3:15pm on Fridays starting May 3rd for students grade 3-5. The number of meetings may vary according to demand, we will do our best to accommodate all interested students. |
