Latasha Jackson, PTA President Latasha is the mother of a Third Grade Butterfly. This is her second year volunteering on The Brooklyn Brownstone School PTA Executive Board; last year, she served as Treasurer. Professionally, she currently works in finance and is also an entrepreneur, creating and selling inspirational clothing items. Her wish is to see an increase in parent involvement in the PTA this school year.
Tatiana Trinidad-Johnson, Treasurer Tatiana is the mother of Allen, a First Grade Superhero. She works in Property Management, and in her spare time, loves to bake and spend time with her family. She enjoys decorating and party/event planning and has volunteered for any TBBS event possible in the last school year. She looks forward to participating in many more events and raising money to provide the kids with wonderful school years to come.
Christina Raymond, Recording Secretary Christina is mom to Frances, a First Grade Superhero. Her contributions to the PTA board include development, fundraising, and writing and editing. Professionally, her specialties include IP finance, patent licensing, and public speaking. A fun fact about Christina: she was once a professional ballet dancer and teacher!
Jasmine Sharp, Corresponding Secretary Jasmine is mother to First Grade Superhero Zachariah. Jasmine’s contributions to the PTA E-Board range from administrative support to volunteer work to anywhere she can help. Last year, Jasmine admired how active so many parents were in their children’s education and development at TBBS; naturally, this year, Jasmine was eager to join in that effort. On a personal note, Jasmine is an amateur makeup enthusiast who is working on her craft to master Glam and Bridal makeup. Professionally, Jasmine works as an Accounts Receivable specialist for a major hospital in NYC.
Katie George, PTA Historian Meet Katie George, PTA Historian, and assisting the Fundraising team. Katie is mom to Karun, a second grade Star (and little brother Vinay). While new to Brooklyn Brownstone, The George Family is not new to Brooklyn—and they are excited to join the Brownstone family. Katie loves cooking, reading, hiking, and attempting to learn her husband Tom’s native language of Malayalam.
Monia Mariani-Besch, PTA Donations Chair She is the mother of a First Grade Superhero and a Fifth Grade Owl, and she has volunteered in many capacities at TBBS since joining the community in 2016. Professionally, her specialties include administrative oversight for sponsored programs on health research and academic institutions. Monia is also an amateur cake maker and party decorator.
Enjulee Ito, PTA Fundraising Committee Co-Chair She’s mom to Zarah Ito, a Second Grade Star. Her contributions to the PTA Board include fundraising and helping out wherever needed. Professionally, her specialties include Concept and textiles design in home goods and fashion. A fun fact about Enjulee: she’s a craft and sewing enthusiast.
Autumn Furr, PTA Fundraising Committee Co-Chair Autumn is mom to Lula (First grade) and Plumeria (Pre-K). In her free time, Autumn enjoys reading, vintage shopping, and planning the perfect dinner party for friends. Professionally, Autumn has spent her career in communications, marketing, events, and partnerships. She is excited for a great year with TBBS PTA!
Jillian LaRochelle, PTA Volunteer Coordinator Jillian is mom to Quinn (2nd grade). Jillian works in marketing with a focus on branded content creation, and in her spare time, she enjoys museums, movie theaters, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is honored to be part of the TBBS PTA and looks forward to meeting all of you throughout the school year!
Duewa Brooks-Mims, Parent Room Coordinator She’s a proud mom of five amazing kids, one of which is a 4th grade Fox. She loves crafting, knitting, and baking when she has free time—and she’s brave enough to serve on two PTAs! Professionally, Duewa is a VP and Corporate Action account manager. She’s looking for parents interested in volunteering in the classroom to read books to our scholars and assist in the class as needed.
