Today Brooklyn Brownstone School students were honored to join the Rockettes and Santa at Serendipity to have the Peanut Butter & Jelly Frozen Hot Chocolate. Thanks to Garden of Dreams our students were the first to taste the new shake. Makayla said, "I don't like regular peanut butter and jelly but I love this!" Students were excited to have one on one time with Santa and the Rockettes. A great time was had by all.
The Brooklyn Brownstone School's Annual Harvest Feast was, as always, a fabulous success. Students, teachers, and family members enjoyed a wonderful meal together. It is during this time when it is very evident that TBBS is only successful because of our wonderful community of parents. The entire Stephen Decatur Campus benefited from our parents culinary skills. The parents showcased their amazing skills in their preparation of turkey and all the fixings for students, family members, and staff. We would like to thank State Senator Kevin Parker, Foodtown, Bread Love, and Emerge Wellness Studio for donating the all the ingredients and supplies to our Thanksgiving Food Bag Drive. We are grateful for everyone who made this feast possible and wish you all a enjoyable holiday full of friends, family and gratitude.
Student Lead Conferences
The Brooklyn Brownstone School was excited about Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers prepared activities for student and parents to do while they waited for their appointments. The Brownstoners of Bed-Stuy and Asphalt Recess Enhancement Program provided parents with literacy and physical fitness activities.
This year the Brooklyn Brownstone School held student led conferences. Students share with their parents their strengths and areas of growth. We are looking forward to a lot growth this year.
