Mrs. Darrell's class raised funds for a local children's shelter. Target matched the students funds and came to read to them as a reward for their philanthropy. Monday, Chancellor Walcott attended our PTA Meeting. He answered questions about class size, testing and listen to various parent concerns.
Pre-K celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by reading his books, making oobleck, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish jello cups. On Friday their teachers dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Saturday, TBBS Smartbots competed in the NYU-Poly Lego Robotics Competition. The students presented their research project and participated in robotic challenges.
Today we began oral presentations of our science research projects. I visited the 3rd grade to learn about what students had researched. Brandon has Asthma. He researched his disease and shared with his class what he learned. He also demonstrated various treatments for Asthma with help of his classmates.
